Be a HSCO Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in the HSCO Volunteer Program. Our current volunteer needs include:
- Feline Friends Volunteers
- Thrift Store Volunteers
The Humane Society of Central Oregon is a private, non-profit corporation that has been serving homeless animals in Central Oregon since 1961. Our mission is to care for abandoned, stray, neglected, surrendered and abused animals. We work towards the placement of all adoptable animals. Through humane education and community outreach, we endeavor to inspire the community to responsibly care for all animals. Our animal shelter provides a temporary home for approximately 4,000 animals a year.
The Humane Society of Central Oregon is able to provide the number and quality of services and programs because of the generous assistance of our dedicated Thrift Store and Animal Shelter volunteers. We are committed to providing each volunteer a rewarding and productive volunteer experience with our organization.
We invite volunteers of all ages (9 years old minimum requirement) to help our shelter and thrift store provide care for the numerous animals in our shelter.
If you would like to join our team of volunteers, please read over the volunteer information and complete a volunteer application. Once you have completed the application, please drop it off at the Humane Society. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to schedule a mandatory volunteer orientation. The time that you dedicate as a Humane Society volunteer will improve the lives of the animals in our community.
